Profile

Dr. Anahi Frauenfelder holds a PhD in Francophone and Comparative Literature from the University of Bern, Switzerland. Her doctoral dissertation examines the relationship to landscape within the literary works of two Francophone writers, C. F. Ramuz and Édouard Glissant, and explores the intersections between Literature, Visual Art, Philosophy, and Anthropology. Prior to her doctoral studies, she gained a diverse academic background with advanced degrees in French Literature from the University of Geneva and Asian Studies at Geneva Graduate Institute, Switzerland.

Over the past 16 years of teaching at Hong Kong universities (CUHK, HKMU), she has designed and conducted various courses and seminars that incorporate cross-cultural elements from French and Francophone Literature, Art, and Philosophy, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to learning.

Her thesis is currently in the process of being published and follows the publication of the article «Le paysage ramuzien et glissantien, Vers un dépassement des frontières», in Suter, Patrick and Fournier Kiss, Corinne (dir.), Poétique des frontières, Une approche transversal des littératures de langue française (XXe-XXIe siècles), MetisPresses, coll. «Voltiges», 2021.
