Profile

Before joining the University of Hong Kong in 2015, Ms. Youngkyoung Paik taught Korean in diverse multicultural settings, including Korea, Germany, Chile, and Switzerland. She has worked with learners of various proficiency levels and cultural backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Her teaching and research interests include pragmatics, third language acquisition, and the application of artificial intelligence in language learning. At HKU, she serves as the Year 3 Core Course Language Coordinator and oversees the introduction of intensive summer language courses and exchange programmes for current students.
