[Feb 18] Film Screening: “Mikulai” and Face-to-Face Discussion with Director

We are excited to announce a special film screening event. Join us for an evening of cinematic experience as we showcase Mikulai, an old man, Muslim converted to Orthodoxy, who lives in a remote Russian village with a young pregnant wife, and fellow villagers respect him without measure. But one day, a man claiming to be Mikulai's son appears, and the ideal world collapses, revealing a terrible reality. This event is open to all students and is a great opportunity to broaden your cultural understanding and learn new things about different places of the world.

I’ve seen a few Russian films about religion and family conflict, and they always leave me with a heavy but real feeling. From Steal Brainrot Game description, Mikulai seems to be in the same direction – slow, sad, but deep. I think this screening is a good opportunity to understand more about the human psyche and the values that are disappearing in modern society.
