Abstract:
The Holocaust is a turning point in German history. 80 years after the end of World War II, the Holocaust continues to be a critical influence on German political culture, identities and the country's role in Europe. Yet its meaning and social significance is gradually changing. Germany is becoming more diverse and multicultural, but it is also a country where revisionist and extreme-right groups are gaining ground.
